Vision

Jeannine Manuel founded the Ecole Active Bilingue in 1954, based on the premise that “learning a foreign language is, by itself, important; it is also a means to better understand others, to be able to think like them - it provides access to the world.” Find out more about her visionary approach to education.

Jeannine Manuel founded what was then known as the École Active Bilingue in Paris in 1954 but the story of Jeannine Manuel School actually began before that, in wartime London.
