Year 11: Pathway to Sixth Form
Year 11 is an important stage in each student’s journey towards Sixth Form. By this point, most students have begun to identify the pathway that best matches their interests, strengths and future ambitions. Whether students are more drawn to the Baccalauréat Français International or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, we have designed two Year 11 pathways that prepare them thoroughly for the demands and opportunities of their chosen Sixth Form programme. Both pathways remain firmly rooted in Jeannine Manuel School’s bilingual and international approach, while allowing students to begin developing the knowledge, skills and subject foundations most relevant to their chosen track.
Year 11: Two pathways, tailored preparation
Students continue to share important elements of their Year 11 experience, while some subjects, including Mathematics, Sciences and History & Geography, are taught differently in each track
The range of IGCSE examinations available also varies depending on the pathway chosen. These choices are designed to provide the strongest possible preparation for either the BFI or the IBDP.
Explore the two pathways below to discover the curriculum, subject choices and IGCSE examinations available in each.
