Transportation
Whether your child walks, bikes, takes public transport, or uses our school bus service, there are a variety of ways to get to school. Note that our campus is split over three sites, all within a few minutes walk of each other.
Walking to School
We recommend walking to school whenever possible to promote a healthy, active lifestyle. The school is easily accessible on foot and is located in a central area of Bloomsbury.
We are proud to be a part of STARS, Transport for London’s (TfL) Sustainable Travel Scheme. We are currently Gold Accredited by the STARS programme and are working to maintain this standard throughout the academic year. STARS helps improve road safety, air quality, and reduces congestion around the school.

BICYCLEs & scooters
On Bedford Square:
- Bicycle racks can be found less than 1 minute’s walk away from the School entrance.
- The nearest Santander cycle location is just off Tottenham Court Road, on Bayley Street.
On Russell Square:
- Private bicycle racks are available for students and staff near the Bedford Place entrance. Public bike racks are also available in front of the Primary School site.
- The nearest Santander cycle location is just off Marchmont Street, opposite the Russell Square tube station.
Bicycles should always be securely locked when not in use. The School cannot take responsibility for any loss through the use of bicycle storage.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
All school sites can be reached very easily using public transport.
There are numerous bus stops within minutes of our sites which are served by a number of different bus routes.

under 5 minutes walk to Bedford Square site, 10 minutes walk to Russell Square sites (Northern, Central, Elizabeth Line) - Russell Square
under 5 minutes walk to Russell Square Sites, 10 minutes walk to Bedford Square Site (Piccadilly) - Holborn
under 10 minutes walk to Russell and Bedford Square Sites (Central, Piccadilly)
SCHOOL BUS
The school bus service is operated by a private coach company working with the School on a daily basis to ensure a safe and smooth service. Each bus has a chaperone responsible for supervising pupils during the journey.
Bus maps are designed with great care using current pupil data and with the intention of benefiting as many of our families as possible. We currently have several routes, covering South West, North West and North East London.
Please note that School Buses will only stop at the Primary & Middle School sites.
