Celebrating the end of the Primary School journey for our Year 6 students

Families, staff and students came together to celebrate the ‘Moving Up’ ceremony - a milestone for our Year 6 (CM2) students to mark the end of their primary school journey.

Parents joined the special celebration, which reflected on the children's achievements, personal growth and unforgettable memories over the years. The audience was treated to a wonderful programme of performances in both French and English, alongside a song which the students sang in Mandarin - all of which highlighted the students' impressive language skills, confidence and love of learning.

The occasion was made even more meaningful by inspiring speeches from Head of School, Mrs Prévot, and Head of Primary, Mrs Liger-Galopin, who celebrated the students' accomplishments and encouraged them as they prepare for the exciting opportunities ahead. Student representatives also took to the stage to share heartfelt messages of thanks to their teachers, families and friends for the encouragement and support they have received throughout their time in the Primary School.

The celebration also provided an opportunity to recognise outstanding achievement, with awards presented to the winners of the Lire aux Éclats reading competition and the Poetry By Heart laureates.

The event concluded with a reception, where families, students and staff gathered to celebrate together, share memories and look ahead to the next chapter.

As our Year 6 students prepare to embark on new adventures in secondary school, we congratulate them on all they have achieved and wish them every success for the future. We look forward to seeing all they will accomplish in the years to come.
